I can’t wait for the movie 2012!
Yet, this alarms me – end of the world comes 2012? I hope scientists would now confirm this prediction. It’ not too far from reality due to what’s happening now – climate change but… 2012?
2012 will be the year I am going to graduate from college. 2012 will be the year that I will begin taking the real thing. In the near future – that is, 2012, I will start reaching my dreams, slowly but surely. 2012 is a start for me, yet will this really be the start? Or the end? Will there still be a future waiting for me? what would life has to offer me then? I, who’s so full of missions to do, dreams to live, people to pay back to.
We humans are the ones to be blamed. Why? To answer the question “why?”, let’s first ask ourselves, “who caused global warming?” and if we have gauged the answer, it is the time we should ALL do something about it. For sure, I am not the only one who’s going insane thinking about this. For sure, too, that I am not also the only one who’s having dreams to achieve.
It’s high time already. The once vain attempts of different climate change movements should now bear fruits. I would love to believe that there’s still time, that it’s not yet late…
Oh God, I know that everything happens because there is/are reason(s). but whatever will occur on my way, on our way, He is there… just feel deeply and see…
Speaking about time, there are instances wherein it serves as a hindrance… How? Here…
People always say “when you’re older”. But, where would the world be if Alexander the Great had waited till he was older? And how about Joan of Arc? If she’d waited till she was older, the English might have conquered and colonized France.
Who decides when someone’s old enough to make decisions for himself? It should come down to the individual…
Wait, I know there are exceptions, the kids I mean, and the juveniles… oh, that’s all I want to type…

Climate change is everywhere. But to narrow it down, I’ll tackle my very own country. Scientists already confirmed it: it’ll be hotter here than before… Rains, or typhoons should I say, must be anticipated. They also told that comes 2024, the ozone layer will be completely gone. Oh my, if only I could create a wonder spray that could bring the ozone layer back…
Yes, Ondoy was just a patikim, a sign that the worst are yet to come if and only if we don’t do something about her wrath – Mother Nature’s anger.
I’m not an environmentalist actually, yet I could be such in my own way. I am a concerned 17-year-old who’s very much aware of what’s happening to the environment, and, very much worried if there would still be a better planet amid this global warming.
I pity my country so much for the mishaps it had and will have but, my brows can’t elude to meet whenever it comes to my mind how undisciplined its people are. It hurts to hear it but let’s cease shrugging off about this – several are such. Dugyot. Binaboy. Simple earth-friendly acts like proper waste disposal seem to be a hard stuff to do for most of us. So look now… the rubbishes are going back to us. Do we deserve this? You be the judge. Another weakening thing to think is that there are still so many vehicles here that belch out black smoke. It is as if they really have no idea on what’s occurring now on this planet. We all know that everything happens for a reason. So with these things we experience, what could be the reason? Well I, again, will leave that to you.
I am really afraid of climate change… we may not reach the end of the long road to recovery if the only thing we do is coping up and still not lifting a finger about global warming.
OMGG… these are not just misfortunes. These are wake up calls coming from nature and the One up there. With these incidents, another thing I’m certain of, no one can escape…
Maybe you have heard of Anne Frank, a promising young girl who was one of the victims of war in Nazi-occupied Amsterdam. She wrote her experiences, her thoughts, and her optimism in spite of the horrors her fellows face. She is also one of my fave writers.
This one, which dated July 15, 1944 (Saturday), what I love most among her entries on her diary. here's the summary:
- Anne reads the book What Do You Think of the Modern Young Girl? She then discusses her opinion of the modern young girl. She feels that the writer was attacking youth and wishes to defend herself and her kind from the charges laid against them.
- Anne says that one of her best qualities is that she is very self-aware. This seems like a pretty true statement based on reading her diary.
- Anne again looks at how she has been raised. She thinks that her family didn’t take her seriously and blew her off with generic parent lingo like "you’ll grow out of it."
- Anne comes to the conclusion that she conquered Peter and that she ought not to have allowed their intimacy.
- She wonders if their lack of emotional closeness is because of his shyness or just because he’s actually more shallow than she thought.
- Anne can’t see a way to go back to just being casual friends with Peter, which is what she wants. He leans on her too much now.
- She is surprised she hasn’t lost all her ideals and faith in justice, given her situation.

Only now are we beginning to realize the heavy price we have to pay for the material progress that we have achieved because of the advances in technology. Only now it is starting to dawn on us that the dilemmas caused by rapid industrialization may negate whatever benefits we derive from it.
Pollution, one of the modern-day problems that surfaced as a result of technological advances and rapid population growth, poses a threat not only to our environment but to life itself.
Nuclear power, one of the most awesome present-day discoveries, causes apprehension and fear due to the fact that is so potent and could bring about the destruction of life on this planet. Notwithstanding its use for peaceful means, atomic energy still poses a hazard. The nuclear accident at Chernobyl in Russia showed a problem to contend with. The disposal of nuclear waste is another problem one has to face if nuclear power is used. How and where will we dump the waste without harming Mother Nature?
It is very apparent that the technological advances we have did upset the balance of nature which could then ultimately spell the extinction of life itself. We are milking the nature dry of the bounties she has to offer and we are doing it at such a rapid pace that unless we call a halt, we may proverbially kill the goose that lays the golden egg.
Schools and businesses are always on the look-out for creative persons, noting grades alone do not make for success for grades can be manipulated…
This is a general consensus that this intangible quality of man can not be taught but that habit and attitudes can be developed to draw out the creative urge. Truly enough, one big factor in putting out this creative fire is the school. Teaching can (and only should) motivate the child and equip him/her with skills that will enable him/her to learn and create the rest of him/her to learn and create the rest of his/her life.
At the Yale University, prospective students are required to show proof of their creative ability like writing and researches.

One of the paradoxes of our world is that the backward countries are really enormously rich. It is because of their wealth that they are colonies.
The natural wealth can be inferred from the huge amounts of agricultural products and raw materials extracted from these lands by foreign corporations. The developed or industrialized countries are highly dependent on imports from these supposedly poor nations.
Now, how is it that nations with such rich natural resources remain very poor?
Oh life…
My genuine friends are one of my greatest confidantes.
When I talk to them, they’re not dominant and controlling. They do have a good communication style (that’s why I love them!). They’re responsive and express personal interest. Our conversations are not dull and cumbersome. Satisfaction, happiness, and so on!
I thank God soooo much. He’s really great and kind…
